PVA TePla Receives Order from Solar Industry

PVA TePla AG, Wettenberg /DE, a leading systems manufacturer for the crystallization of silicon and of vacuum and high-temperature systems, has received an order from the China-based Tianwei New Energy Wafer Co. Ltd. to supply systems for the production of multicrystalline silicon ingots with an order value of around EUR 5 million. The order will be processed in 2010.

This is yet another order that the company has received for crystal-growing systems from the Chinese solar industry. In this case, systems for the crystallization of multicrystalline ingots are being supplied to Tianwei New Energy Wafer Co. Ltd. The expanded process capability and exceptional operational reliability of PVA TePla MultiCrystallizers were deciding factors for the client. Tianwei covers the entire value chain of the photovoltaics industry, from the production of solar silicon to the finished module, and is already the second of PVA TePla's Chinese clients to choose the MultiCrystallizer product.
