ic-cmtp2 on 8–12 October 2012 in Miskolc-LillafüredThe 2nd International Conference on Competitive Materials and Technology Processes, ic-cmtp2, will be held on 8–12 October 2012 in Miskolc-Lillafüred. The scientific programme is focused more on university-level institutions than on industry. All papers will be peer-reviewed before publication in Materials Sciences and Engineering News by Trans Tech Publications or in other EI compendex publications and scientific journals. The major conference fields of interest are materials with extreme physical, chemical, thermal, and mechanical properties as well as dynamic strengths, including their crystalline and nanostructures, phase transformations as well as methods of technological processes, tests and measurements. Multidisciplinary applications of material science and technological problems encountered in sectors like ceramics, glasses, thin films, aerospace, automotive and marine industry, electronics, energy, construction materials, chemistry, medicine, biosciences and environmental sciences are of particular interest.The conference will cover 15 sessions with following topics: Session 1: Advanced materials for bio- and medical applications Session 2: Advanced materials for extreme applications Session 3: Glasses and related materials Session 4: Hetero-modulus and hybrid materials Session 5: Lightweight materials with pre-designed and controlled nanostructures Session 6: Materials with extreme dynamic strength Session 7: Membranes – science, technology and application Session 8: Minerals for environmental and medical applications Session 9: Novel synthesis and processing technology Session 10: Organo-clay complexes Session 11: Phase diagrammes as a tool of materials science Session 12: Polymer-clay nanocomposites Session 13: Polymer-derived ceramics Session 14: Processing and properties of silicate ceramics Session 15: Silicon- and organosilicon compounds in the living world.
