FLSmidth to Supply a Complete Cement Plant in Tunisia

FLSmidth has signed a contract worth EUR 107 million with Tunisian-owned Carthage Cement to supply equipment and services for a 5800 t/d state-of-the-art cement plant. The plant will be located approximately 40 km southwest of the Tunisian capital Tunis.

The scope of supply includes a full pyro processing line, ATOX and UMS mills, silos, a complete automated ECS installation (Expert Control and Supervision) as well as a packing plant. To achieve the best environmental performance the plant also features a QCX quality control system, gas analysing equipment and air pollution control filters. The plant is designed for possible future use of alternative fuels.  (05/2010)
