German Refractories Association (DFFI): Strengthening its Strategy – Industry Association on Course for Growth
Wednesday, June 16, 2021
The German Refractories Association (DFFI) is moving forward with a strengthened strategy. With a clear “yes” to climate protection and CO2-reduction in production as well as in dialogue with customers at the industry event “Steel meets Refractory”, at which, under the auspices of the Ministry for Economic Affairs in the German state of the Rhineland-Palatinate, 70 representatives from companies in both industries met virtually to share knowledge with regard to future sources of energy.
The industry is on the move. The industry association concentrates these activities, bringing together member companies, customer groups and policy-makers. With the Association in this position looking to grow further, with the clear message on climate and environmental issues and support of member interests, two new companies have now joined the Association.
With Mineralmühle Leun, Rau GmbH & Co. KG (www.mineralmuehle.com), an innovative supplier of raw materials has come on board. This company has specialized in market niches and operates its own production operations in Germany, Italy and Slovakia. The company was established in 1880 and supplies its products to world market leaders in the refractories, foundries, welding electrodes, abrasives and high-quality alloy powders sectors. KOCH Industrieanlagen GmbH (www.koch-roboter.de) offers a comprehensive range of individual robot systems for automatic handling of products in the refractories industry. Since its founding in 1978, it has delivered over 700 robot systems to customers in a wide range of industries all over the world.
