ALUMINIUM 2021 Rescheduled to 28–30 September
ALUMINIUM, the world's leading trade fair for the aluminum industry, scheduled for 18–20 May 2021, in Dusseldorf, Germany, has been rescheduled to 28–30 September. Organizer Reed Exhibitions made this decision in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic after discussions with exhibitors and partners. Uncertainties surrounding travel restrictions were also a deciding factor due to the international nature of ALUMINIUM.

ceramitec conference Already Again on 22–23 June 2021
The ceramics industry and above all the sectors with short innovation cycles, need personal contact, exchange and presentation opportunities. After the need to postpone ceramitec to 2022, the possibility was given for the industry to meet again in 2021. Messe München/DE and the partners of CERAMIC APPLICATIONS use together this possibility and offer the optimal platform for meeting and exchange organising the ceramitec conference. The in-person event is planned for 22–23 June 2021 in Munich and takes place simultaneously with “automatica sprint".

RHI Magnesita 2020 Results
RHI Magnesita declares a gross profit margin of 24,4 % (2019: 24,5 %) and adjusted EBITA of 11,5 % (2019: 14,0 %). Furthermore, the Company achieved a positive adjusted operating cash flow of EUR 290 million (2019: EUR 359 million), supported by strong working capital management leading to a reduction in net debt to EUR 582 million (2019: EUR 650 million). The Board has recommended a final dividend of EUR 1,00 per share, bringing the total dividend in respect of 2020 to EUR 1,50 per share.

Next glasstec to be Held 20–23 September 2022
The glasstec trade fair will not be held as planned due to the sustained pandemic and continued global lockdown measures as well as international travel restrictions. In close coordination with associations and partners Messe Düsseldorf/DE has decided to cancel glasstec scheduled for 15–18 June 2021, which had already been postponed from 2020 to 2021. The next glasstec will be held in line with its accustomed scheduling for 20–23 September 2022.
Magnesia and Refractories Major Kümas Acquired by Turkish Steel Leader Erdemir
One of the world’s leading magnesite producers, Kümas Manyezit Sanayi (Kümas) has been acquired by the country’s leading steel producer Erdemir for USD 340 million. Erdemir is part of the Mining Metallurgy Group of OYAK, Turkey’s largest complementary occupational pension fund with assets worth around USD 16 billion, headquartered in Ankara.
