ceramitec 2024: Munich Takes Center Stage in the Ceramics Industry

As one of the oldest sectors in the business world, the ceramics industry stands as a strategically pivotal and forward-looking domain. It remains a driving force for growth, innovation, and sustainability. Next spring, the industry will meet once again at ceramitec held from 9–12 April 2024, at the Trade Fair Center in Munich/DE. The early bird booking option has been warmly embraced and compared to the same period before the previous ceramitec, the trade fair has seen a marked increase in registrations. The deadline for interested companies to register is 15 September 2023, which will kick off the layout planning phase.

New exhibition sectors Composites and Advanced Materials

The application of composites and advanced materials yields improved mechanical properties, light weight, adaptability, energy efficiency, environmental compatibility, and enhanced performance under extreme conditions. These advantages contribute to the development of more durable, efficient and environmentally friendly ceramic products across various industries. As a result, ceramitec 2024 will feature these two exhibition areas for the first time.

Fresh guiding themes and new exhibitor directory

Also new are the key topics ceramitec 2024 will focus on, namely “decarbonization,” “hydrogen technology,” “digitalization,” “energy efficiency,” “energy storage,” “green technologies” and “circular economy.” In this context, the previously established nomenclature will transition into a new, multidimensional list of exhibitors to provide a better overview of the offered domains and to include new topics. This will help visitors to better find exhibitors both in the directory and at the fair and to prepare their visit more systematically.

Conference program at ceramitec

ceramitec not only showcases a diverse array of exhibitors and innovations but also presents a multifaceted conference program. One highlight will be the high-profile international “ceramitec talks” taking place in Halls A4 and A6 that will delve into current topics and trends in the industry, from additive manufacturing to industrial applications. Visitors will also be able to participate in guided tours to selected exhibitors, offering exclusive insights into innovations in heavy clay ceramics. And the CareerDay will offer dedicated options for professional development, while the special show “Ceramic Applications” will demonstrate the versatility and capabilities of ceramics as a material.

Parallel with analytica

Once again, ceramitec will be held simultaneously with analytica — the world’s leading trade fair for laboratory technology, analysis and biotechnology — which will occupy Halls B1 and B2 as well as A1 to A3. This parallel arrangement has proven its worth in 2018 and 2022, fostering synergies for exhibitors and attendees from both events.

ceramitec showcases the spectrum of the ceramics industry

As the leading trade fair, ceramitec presents the complete bandwidth of the ceramics industry: in addition to heavy clay, fine and refractory ceramics and the raw materials sector, technical ceramics and powder metallurgy constitute dedicated exhibition sectors.
