8th Aluminium 2000 Congress

During the congress the participants will have the opportunity to meet experts, scientists, and researchers from the most important international companies, to learn about the state-of-the-art of research, and to exchange their reciprocal experience in aluminium technologies and markets. The 3-days conference with parallel sessions will be entirely dedicated to different subjects ranging from markets and analysis of the aluminium industry in the next ten years to foundry, casting, extrusion, anodizing and painting, automation, architecture, transport industry, environmental protection and recycling as well as measuring, testing and quality techniques. Highlights will be: P. Robbins presenting innovative processes for increasing productivity in the extrusion process; E. Tastaban from the Sakarya University explaining how to obtain plasma electrolytic oxidation on Al alloys; M. Rossi presenting the new no-nickel low and medium temperature sealing processes; T. Rossini from Akzo Nobel illustrating powder coatings for outdoor use having low solar absorption. New chrome free passivation layers (colourless and coloured) will be illustrated by the most important chemical product suppliers; all the innovation in casting and die casting will be described by famous researchers of the field like H. Puga, H. Chen, R. Squatrito, F. Bonollo, and M. Isac. The Congress program includes 4 sessions with 122 papers and 3 workshops (full day) on extrusion, anodizing and coating, the choice of one technical visit out of a total of  five, a special forum “Aluminium for Africa and Africa for Aluminium”, where ambassadors of seven of Africa’s most developed countries will illustrate their projects for industrialization and fast growth and business opportunities. On the first morning, during the plenary session, a few specialists from different areas of the world (Conserva, Italy; Daylami, Dubai; Vlems, The Netherlands) will present the aluminium market situation and trends for the future providing key information for all the aluminium industry operators. An exhibition in the hall of Hotel Meliã will ensure good visibility to many suppliers of the latest technologies and it will guarantee a meeting point for all delegates.
