CERAMITEC 2015: Hot Spot for the Ceramics Industry
A total of 613 exhibitors from 42 countries presented their innovations at CERAMITEC 2012. 58 % of the exhibitors came from abroad; for the first time, China was the strongest international exhibitor country. The large proportion of foreign exhibitors is an impressive demonstration of ceramitec’s international importance. CERAMITC 2012 attracted some 16 800 trade visitors from 106 countries, 57 % of whom coming from abroad. Compared with the previous event, this corresponds to an increase of 15 %. Thus, ceramitec is one of the most inter national trade shows of the industry on the visitors’ side as well. In 2015, CERAMITEC will take place in the Halls A1, A2, B1 and B2 and can be reached via the West Entrance. Raw materials and additives, powders, production materials and ancillaries will be displayed in Hall A1. Hall A2 will accommodate the segment for refractory materials, kiln furniture, kilns and equipment as well as research. In Hall B1, visitors will fi nd machines, equipment and devices for fi ne and refractory ceramics, technical ceramics and powder metallurgy and fi nally, in Hall B2, machines, equipment and devices for heavy clay ceramics. Just like its previous editions, CERAMITEC 2015 will be accompanied by a topclass supporting programme. The CERAMITEC Forum in Hall B1 will once again serve as a platform for the transfer of knowledge and know-how, for research and development. Attendance at the specialist lectures and panel discussions will be free of charge. The lectures are offered with simultaneous translation in German and English. The first day of the trade show, Tuesday 20 October 2015, will start with a panel discussion. The Powder Metallurgy Day is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, followed by the Heavy Clay Day on Wednesday and the Technical Ceramics Day on Thursday. The Career Day of the Network of Young Professionals will be integrated into CERAMITEC for the first time on Friday 23 October 2015. This is a joint initiative of the Koblenz University of Applied Sciences/DE, the Expert Fachmedien GmbH/DE, the Deutsche Keramische Gesellschaft – DKG/DE and CERAMITEC 2015. The aim is to foster the networking of companies from the cer amic industries with training and research centres as well as students, graduates and young professionals. The range of products and services displayed at CERAMITEC includes literally all relevant areas. It shows state-of-the-art technologies from industry, research and development, making ceramitec the competence and technology center for the entire spectrum of ceramic applications. In 2015, CERAMITEC will be characterized by a further enlargement of the segments of technical ceramics and powder metallurgy, even though the conventional segments covering raw materials, heavy clay ceramics, fine ceramics and refractories will continue to be in the limelight.
