Construction of 700 Units Starts in Salafchegan
The units will be built in a 100 ha-land with the investment of over USD 470 million by the private sector. Gholamreza Shafeie, one of the investors, said at the ground-breaking ceremony that the projects will become operational in a four-year period. He added that the units will create nearly 16000 jobs, once they go on stream. The economic zone is set up in an area of about 2000 ha, and is 180 km away from Tehran. With access to the national railroad network, the zone is located on the main route linking north, south, east and west of the country to Central Asia, Europe and the Persian Gulf.
