Euromines has Called for the Removal of Trade Restrictions

Euromines president Thomas Drnek said in his presentation at the Aachen Refractories Colloquium that the EU is highly dependent on raw material imports, but noted that there were 1233 export restrictions of certain materials. Among 41 materials studied, the refractory minerals graphite, magnesia, chromite, and bauxite were classed as critical, but with differing degrees of economic importance and supply risk.
