ITALKER: Environmentally Friendly Complete Moulding System for Manufacturing Ceramic Cores

The material of these new ceramic cores is characterized by high technical parameters and, in addition, the dimensional tolerance of the item is only ±0,05 %, and it is achieved without the need of any additional and expensive mechanical grinding after the process of sintering. This special type of ceramic cores allow temperatures and pressures in die-casting particularly high, consequently it is realized a considerable improvement of the technical features which characterize the final manufactured item with metal alloy. The important result was achieved by the ITALKER laboratory in Bassano del Grappa/IT, in cooperation with external partners, research labs and a university. With the technology developed for these items, the size of the piece remains constant: shape and size of the model is therefore perfectly the same. This effect satisfies the need for any production, obtained by a die-cast alloys, which requires very accurate dimensional tolerances, as occurs in the automotive industry. The environmental aspects were also considered. In fact, the process is absolutely environmentally friendly and one can recycle both direct fluids and solid material coming out from the castings. These innovative ceramic cores delivered to customers have obtained excellent results compared to conventional cores with strong scrap reductions.
