21st FOGI Seminar: Refractories

Germany 21st FOGI Seminar: Refractories – Materials and Their Application in Industrial Furnace Engineering In the design of industrial furnaces, the structure of the furnace walls, especially the type of thermal insulation, is a crucial criterion for the energy consumption and energy losses of plants. With the selection of the refractories and the wall structure, the requirements derived from the process engineering (interaction between the product – furnace atmosphere – wall structure, continuous and intermittent operation etc.) and the energy requirements (minimization of the energy consumption) are defined.
